Plazuela del Carbón Suites

Simply everything - we were give one of the nicest rooms - facing the street, on a higher floor and we could see the plaza and the big ferries deparing and arriving from the big windows. There is a very tiny balcony but it is not recommended to go outside, instead there is a huge roof-top terrace - open for all guests with sofas and sunbeds - overlooking the Cadiz roofs - really nice at dawn and evening. You can go to it with the lift to the top. The room itself was very large with a great and comfortable bed and a kitchen box with a big fridge, There was also space for a table two big chairs and a desk, and a wardrobe. The bathroom was big, very clean and modern, with a huge mirror. The shower cabine was very modern, spacious and with a strong water pressure. We didn't expect to have a cleaning service - but the lady was coming every day - really great extra! The design of the room and the surrounding arresa are very stylish and made with great attention of detail. At the ground floor there is a very nice area with small tables and chairs where you can work and drink free coffee/tea/water/juices throught the day. The outside door is with a digit code - very convenient. The stuff was very kind and helpfull. The location is very convenient - there's a bus just steps from the building, it is also very close to the seaside promenade, and the two narrow streets on the left and right side of the building are going right to the center of the old town for some 5-6 min walk. There is a great flamenco venue - a bar with live acts from Thursdays to Sundays just around the corner. Overall we had an amazing experience in this hotel and would definrtly come back when in Cadiz!

The room was on the first floor with access to coffee, beverages and snacks that were provided. The room was exceptionally large and very comfortable. There was a small kitchen and dining table that provided everything we needed to have a nice lunch, breakfast or dinner. The bedroom was located very far from the living room so provided privacy and quiet if one person wanted to retire earlier than the other. I would highly recommend.

Everything was great - large and light room, huge bed, suitably equipped kitchen, working aircon etc. The fridge and coffee machine on the ground floor were a nice touch (different kind of coffee/tea and cold drinks such as water, juice, cola, fanta were free of charge for guests). The reception girl had good suggestions about where to eat etc. Would definitely stay in this apartment again.

A beautiful building (former offices?) on the edge of a green square a stone’s throw from the sea - where isn’t in Cádiz! Newly furnished (by IKEA?) our room was quiet and comfortable. bedroom separated from the living area by a corridor with storage and a kitchenette and bathroom at either end. The bed was comfortable, though the air con dried us out at night even though it wasn’t on. we couldn’t find a bottle opener! that was my only gripe, easily rectified. Local bars, cafe’s and restaurants on the doorstep meant we didn’t have to wonder far. We stayed as many days in a flat in Bournemouth that cost more and was a disgrace. Cádiz is marvellous - want to come back.

The staff on the desk were helpful and friendly and the cleaners did an excellent job of keeping our room neat and tidy. Great location near the station and the old town.
